• Lock the release lever. You can use a cable tie to lock the release level onto the carriage. When you do this simple trick, the thieves are unable to attach a wire on the lever and open the door.

Of course, there are a few other things you can do to keep burglars away from your garage door. For instance, install a motion sensor light near your garage door. A type of movement will cause the light to come on and will keep the thieves from breaking in. Another great tip is to keep a radio turned on in the garage.
