2. Moisture in the air: The hot, humid days and nights of summer can cause a sticky situation for your garage door and prevent it from rolling smoothly along the rails. You should keep lubricant on hand to carefully create a more slippery surface if needed. Always keep an eye on your garage door’s moving parts that can be affected by humid weather and high temperatures.
3. Summer storms: Thunderstorms can wreak havoc on your home’s electricity flow. If your power goes out during a storm, your garage door opener will not function.
